Successful family reunification

If you have just completed our simulator, you are eligible to apply for a family reunion visa in Belgium. This is an important step.
You can now start preparing your application.

If you come directly to this page, please note that it is dedicated to people wishing to prepare their file for family reunification with a foreign national benefiting from international protection in Belgium, within the framework of a partnership registered in accordance with a law (PACS or legal cohabitation), without going through a lawyer in foreigners' law.

I had two rejections before discovering La Cour des Grands and then I had my visa accepted thanks to them in two weeks.

Your family reunion with Visa Academy

  • Statutory registered partnership

Family reunification allows you to apply for a right of residence to live in Belgium with your protected spouse.

  • Owner or tenant

It doesn't matter whether the holder of international protection has rented or owned accommodation: the main thing is to demonstrate that the accommodation is stable and suitable for cohabitation.

  • Employed, self-employed... or even unemployed or without income

The protected person does not need to have a full-time job to apply. In some cases, stable and regular income is not necessary. To be sure, you need to go through the simulator again if you haven't already! If you have already done so, simply view the module that corresponds to your situation.

  • Foreign partnerships: what to do?

If your legally-registered partnership took place outside Belgium, there are probably a number of steps that need to be taken before you can proceed with the actual family reunification. We explain everything in the Visa Academy.

  • Step-by-step method

To build a complete file that meets the expectations of Belgian embassies and the Foreigners' Office.

  • Courses available in 7 languages

French, Dutch, English, Arabic, Russian, Albanian, German and more to come.

  • Ready-to-use models

Sample letters, forms and templates to help you prove you have sufficient resources, even if your income is below the legal thresholds.

  • Check&Go

The possibility of having your file checked by a legal expert before submitting it.

  • Questions and answers

A question-and-answer area to clear up any doubts you may have and get support, even from a distance.

  • Independent platform

The Cour des Grands is a private initiative that carries out its missions in complete independence from the political powers that be.

We know that the success of family reunification with a foreigner benefiting from international protection, even in the case of PACS or legal cohabitation, depends not only on your relationship or your personal situation, but above all on the quality of the application you submit.

At La Cour des Grands, we have developed a clear, rigorous and accessible method to help you put together a complete file that complies with the requirements of Belgian law. You benefit from university-level support, comparable to that of a lawyer specializing in immigration law, while retaining the freedom to proceed at your own pace, at a much more affordable rate.
